Why are there lines on my characters in mass effect 2?

either while playing or in a cut scene, depending on the lighting, all characters in the game develop horizontal stripes all over their bodies. what could be the reason for this? ive changed the graphics options a thousand times but its always the same. and on a side note, the faces usually have little triangles (basically parts of the face model) that show. nothing is smooth about it. can someone tell me why this is happening? i have Intel HD graphics. i also have dragon age which is also from bioware but the characters look perfectWhy are there lines on my characters in mass effect 2?
"i have Intel HD graphics."

That's your problem. It's not supported. I visit the Bioware forums on a regular basis and so far you're the fourth person I've heard of who managed to even run the game on Intel graphics. The other three had zebra stripes on their characters.

There's no workaround. You'll have to upgrade to supported video hardware. Why are there lines on my characters in mass effect 2?
Sounds like you have the Film Grain on (An Option I have no idea why it was included)

Open your graphic options and turn it off.
