Dragon age 2 import character?

We know you will be able to import your character and continue playing from what decisions you made, however, my question is does Awakening play any role in that, meaning if I play awakening will that have any effect in dragon age 2 or no?Dragon age 2 import character?
Your decisions in Awakening are supposed to have an effect on DA2, although not nearly as large as the effect from DA:O only because more people bought the actual game than the expansion pack.



And by the way, you won't be able to import your character. It's just the decisions you made.
