Dragon Age 2 Character Tactics? (PS3)?

Hi. I've JUST started to play Dragon Age 2 and I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on some good AI tactics to use. I already know the ones like setting the AI to use Fireball when 2 or more enemies are clustered or to have the AI attack enemies that are attacking a mage and stuff like that but does anyone have any more complex ones that will help me now (in the very beginning) and some that'll help later as well? lure a trap using oil underneath ur enemies then use ur fire ball to sets them on fire : )
