Is Dragon Age: Origins closer to Baldur's Gate (1/2) or Neverwinter Knights?

Dragon Age: Origins is supposed to be a "spiritual successor" to the Baldur's Gate series. I love Baldur's Gate 1 %26amp; 2, and would probably enjoy Dragon Age: Origins if it feels similar. However, I did not enjoy Neverwinter Knights. For me, it was too repetitive and linear, and lacked the charm (characters, quests, environments, etc.) of Baldur's Gate 1 %26amp; 2.

My question: Is Dragon Age: Origins more similar to the Baldur's Gate games, or Neverwinter Knights? (BTW, this is regarding the PC version.)Is Dragon Age: Origins closer to Baldur's Gate (1/2) or Neverwinter Knights?
It's a lot more like Baldur's gate. You have more freedom to define your character and interact with the world and NPCs than neverwinter.

What do I need to know from Dragon Age:O before starting Dragon Age 2?

Now I have played a few hours of Dragon Age:O i know not enough to say I know the ending( I look up the Wiki ) for the story so i know about Morrigan's child if you choose that and/or your Warden dieing after killing the Arch Demon. I end the game early cause I kind of got bored with the fighting style and all the talking not that its a bad thing i just didn't enjoy it, i know Dragon Age 2 will be better for that type of thing. And I know some main characters like Alisiter and Flemeth that you see in the beginning of Dragon Age 2. What I want to know is if the child or Alisiter being king and which Warden killed the the Archdemon. I want to know everything i need to know minor or important even some things like whether Hawke is the child and things like that. What do I need to know from Dragon Age:O before starting Dragon Age 2?
DA2 is a whole new game. There isn't much you need to know. If you read the summary on the wiki you should be fine. If you don't import a DA:O save you will be able to choose a world setting during character creation. That will decide whether or not Alistair is king. Morrigan and her baby aren't part of DA2 at all.

Combat in DA2 is still very similar, it's just faster. There is also more talking and cutscenes in DA2 than in Origins. If you don't take the time to talk to NPCs and get to know your companions you will miss out on a lot. I'm not sure you will like this game if you couldn't finish the original.

Dragon Age 2 YAY OMG!?

I am so excited for number 2!

Gosh, just a few days ago i was hoping there would be a number 2.

I have played and beaten Dragon Age origins 4 times. I have also done all of the add-ons.

I am definitely not a game person. I just loved fable 2 so much so i tried out dragon age origins.

I didn't even really like it at first but then it got good. I have only beaten 3 games in my entire life and it happens to fable 2,Dragon age origins, and Resident Evil 5. xD.

I wonder what Dragon Age 2 will be like. I hope its a continuation of the first game. I wouldn't mind different characters but i hope the old ones will still be in the game.

And if you don't believe me, Go their site. Bioware has announced it.:D

What do you think about dragon age 2?Dragon Age 2 YAY OMG!?
totally physicked!Dragon Age 2 YAY OMG!?
From what Bioware has said about DA2, it won't be a continuation of the Origins storyline.

Should I play Dead Space 2, even though I'm still doing a playthrough of Dragon Age: Origins?

I just got Dead Space 2, and I really want to play it. I'm currently playing Dragon Age: Origins, but it's the 4th time I'm playing it. I'm also planning on playing Dragon Age Origins: Awakening for the second time, Golems of Amgarrak (DLC) for the second time, and Witch Hunt (DLC) for the first time. Honestly, I doing this playthrough of Dragon Age: Origins in preparation for Dragon Age 2, so I can import the save data I want. I deleted all of the other characters from my other 3 playthroughs. So, should I keep playing Dragon Age: Origins, or play Dead Space 2?Should I play Dead Space 2, even though I'm still doing a playthrough of Dragon Age: Origins?
Dead Space 2 single player campaign lasts only like 12-13 hours, I'm sure you can take out some time to finish it.

Dragon Age 2 is coming in March so I'm sure you have plenty of time.

I myself was playing Mass effect 2 on PS3 and was thinking of finishing it and then play DS2 but the game is so awesome, just can't wait.

Dragon age origins / dragon age two?

if you become the queen of ferelden in dragon age origins by marrying alistar will your character show up when hawke meets alistar in dragon age 2; assuming that you chose that save as the events from dragon age origins in the character creation for dragon age 2Dragon age origins / dragon age two?
Your character is referenced. But you don't actually get to see her.

If I remember correctly, the queen remains in Ferelden while Alistair travels to Kirkwall.Dragon age origins / dragon age two?
No, we will likely never physically see the warden again. The graphics for DA2 were redone and it would not be possible to import her appearance. Alistair and all the other characters that make a cameo are very much changed to adapt to the new system.

  • Hi should I get Final Fantasy XIII,Dragon Age or Mass Effect 2?

Hi here is my story %26amp; what's holding me back. I really do like Mass Effect 1 %26amp; I'm forward to move on to Mass Effect 2. The only franchise of the Final Fantasy game that I played was FF7 %26amp; it was very good game but never played other Final Fantasy games. I did see the thrillers of the Final Fantasy XIII %26amp; the new characters are not interesting compare to FF7. I did played Dragon Age for only 3 hrs at my friends house %26amp; it was a cool game to play. Since I LOVE Fallout 3,Fable 2,action games %26amp; better story, which of the 3 games should I go for? Thank you!Hi should I get Final Fantasy XIII,Dragon Age or Mass Effect 2?
Well, Dragon Age is pretty freaking awesome, and is basically a medieval version of fallout with it's own unique storyline (amazing) and soundtrack. I've been playing it, and it's very emotional and you get attached to the character you created like in Fallout. I haven't played any of the Mass Effect games, but I know that Final Fantasy may not be all it's hyped up to be. I've been a mega final fantasy lover of ALL their games, but this one is sending up some warning bells. The fighting system looks shaky, and I heard something about how you don't actually start a storyline until 20 hours into the game. It seems like a waste of 60 dollars for PS3 though. I'd rent that one first and try it out.

But I'm telling you for a fact that Dragon Age is epic. It is so fun, and again you get very attached to your character just like in Fallout. :3

Good luck in your game crusades XDD

Is dragon age origins 2 player or multi player?

could my friend and I make different characters and play in the same party or he could play as one of the preset npcs?Is dragon age origins 2 player or multi player?
So far the game is a single player RPG with no form of multiplayer at all. However, rumors persist that certain comments made by the developers might mean that they're working on a patch or download that might have a multiplayer aspect in it, but for not just treat that as an unconfirmed rumor. Is dragon age origins 2 player or multi player?

Dragon age 2 10 points best answer or any answer thanx?

will there be a romantic story in the new dragon age 2 released in march??? i loved how allistair and your character can get married and fall in love the expansion you couldnt fall in love but can you have a romantic realtionship in dragon age 2? thanxDragon age 2 10 points best answer or any answer thanx?
unfortunately no one can answer your question yet. The story takes place on another continent that isn't ferelden and it's very important though as it pertains to the situation with morrigan and her mother.

It is realistic to assume though that there will be a love interest for the main character as all the bioware games that are done in this way *except or to some degree baldurs gate*Dragon age 2 10 points best answer or any answer thanx?
Yes, there will be romances in DA2. The only romanceable character we know about so far is Isabella, she's the pirate you meet at the Pearl in DA:O and is returning for the sequel. I'm assuming they will have at least the same number of romance options as they did in the original game.Dragon age 2 10 points best answer or any answer thanx?
    Don't know since I don't work for Bioware/EA.

    Is dragon age 2 good?

I loved origins so i really want to get dragon age 2 for my xbox i know alot of people said its a crap game and it doesn't even compare to origins but that's there opinion i play a sequel likes its a different game so im never disappointed. so not comparing to origins does it have a good storyline/characters and good gameplay? Is dragon age 2 good?
Many might say DA2 is crap but I think it is more accurate to say it isn't as good as DA: Origins. Personally I loved it.

The game was obviously rushed, as the recycled dungeons do take a bit of the flavor away. Aside from the unpolished game play environments it has a solid story. I think allot of gamers also missed the point that the story. It was Hawke's story (the main character.) DA: Origins story was broader, so focusing on one character, I think, made people view this as a step back. In my opinion I think it adds context, or perspective to the events that play out in the DA universe and how they affect an individual character rather than a group. I believe the purpose of this narrative is meant as a prelude to DA 3.

Personally I thought all the main characters were well thought out and well presented. Varric in particular go special attention, clearly making himself an iconic character for the whole series. Kind of Like Morrigan was for the first Dragon Age. Aside from the main characters the rest of the lesser NPC do fall a little flat.

Combat though, in my opinion is vastly improved, perhaps one of the main saving graces of DA2. DA: Origins combat always felt a little too slow paced and stiff.

Bottom line: Dragon Age 2 is definitely worth a go if you are a fan of the Dragon Age universe. But rather treat it as a separate game to Origins than a true sequel. A spin-off, if you will, might be more accurate.

FYI Don't neglect the "Mark of the Assassin" DLC for DA2. It's brilliant, best to start in Act 2 or 3. The "Legacy" DLC is not as good but OK. Weapon %26amp; Armor DLC, are good but not essential. Is dragon age 2 good?
I thought it was a great game, The story line is good and solid the gameplay is catered more to consoles then the last one was and the characters are just as developed as the last one. The only down sides to the game is the lack of change of scenery, and that you cant talk to your party members whenever you want but only durring certain times. I think that most people had problems with the game because it was different then they were use to.

It may not be as great as the first in terms of story but all in all its a great game.Is dragon age 2 good?
I never played origins, so i have nothing to compare it to, but i played DA2 and i was very disappointed in just how linear it was. RPG's shouldn't lead you down a straight path. the graphics were crap. game play was mildy entertaining. on the plus side all the women had huuuge you know whats.

rpg's should be held to a higher standard. i know you hear this from everyone, but get skyrim. best game i've played in years.

don't compare one game to its sequal, compare the game to the benchmark in rpg entertainment. don't waste money and time by settling for crap.
My first playthrough I was very disappointed since I just finished Origins. But I gave it a second try and it is a pretty good game. Some things are alot better! It had good characters, some you will recognize from DAO or Awakening if you played it. But overall, I think it is a very good game and definetly worth playing!

Dragon Age 2 Sundermount is missing!?

It's actually more like the terrain is missing. When I get to Sundermount it's just a black background. No terrain at all is visible. I can still see the characters and hear the background sounds but no terrain. I have Dragon Age 2 for the PS3. Did something go wrong when it was installing itself?Dragon Age 2 Sundermount is missing!?
This happened with my 360 as well, but only after I installed the game. I figured it might have been the installation that triggered it, so I deleted the game off my 360, and when I tried to play it (uninstalled), the terrains showed up again. Try your hand at it.

How do I beat the ancient rock wraith (dragon age 2)?

I have a rouge character, ferris, the dwarf and a mage.

    the mage has healing abilities.

I have been trying for hours to beat the ancient rock wraith on casual!!!!

he always manages to kill me early on though.

I've tried taunt and it didn't work

I've tried archery and it didn't work

    Nothing works!!!

    it's driving me crazy!

How have you beaten it?How do I beat the ancient rock wraith (dragon age 2)?
lol I became a pro after being beaten like 8 times. After knowing the strategy it was so easy.

Get your tank, the shield user Aveline(The toughest defence and life) to go after the ancient rock and attack the wraith first so that the wraith doesn't go after other companions, especially mages.

Use your mages to deal mass damage on a single enemy.
Always heal your companions especially Aveline when her health is about 50%.

When the wraith goes to the middle of 4 pillars after beating him a little, hide behind one of the pillars.
Now the wraith uses some skill that shoots in every places in the place. There is no good of surviving if you don't hide behind the pillars.

When the massive shooting ends, he summons some little enemies that attacks with some lightning magic. Looks like chain lightning. So if u don't have lightning magic resistance, your life will decrease very fast even for your tank.

Pause the game and make a strategy. Choose your companion and use your skills on the little lightning shooters. Don't attack them at once. They have very little life so try to go 1 vs 1 or 1 vs 2
with your companions. This way you will earn time to beat the wraith.

If you kill these minions faster, you earn more time before the wraith stoods up to attack you again.

These little monsters and wraith has high armor but little cold resistance so use cold magics.
It deals much damage but crushing prison or warriors do less damage since they are hard rocks.

So when the minions are dead, you beat the wraith. Place your other companion mages behind
and closer to the pillar in advance. If you have a healer or a reviver(spirit healer or anders) make sure to place them behind the pillar even if they can't attack. Never make them go down since this guys
can revive you endless times if u have mana. Meaning if this guy doesn't die, it doesn't matter how many times your other companions die.

Now the wraith will suddenly change it's shape. It will become a round rock trying to attack you.
It deals heavy damage if u get hit. I once placed all my companions in the same place and they
got bowling striked and they all died after he used something like quake.

So when it changes shape. Pause the game and move all the companions to the other side.
The direction where the wraith will roll is the direction, his face (his red eyes) are facing.

Now you can avoid that rock rolling attack 100% everytime. Then wraith will go normal bash
attacks. He will often do the roll attack for like every 5~15 seconds so always be prepared to
    pause the game and avoid.

After a long time the wraith will go to the middle but this time he might do something like pulling magic that deals less damage then the shooting. You should still hide the mages but no need for warriors.

Then he will do the roll attack and some times he'd do that massive shooting attack again. Prepare
    to hide behind the pillars.

This is all his attacks. No more strategy needed. You just need some potions or some healer. better if he could revive you companions.

If you lack mana to heal or revive, use rally with your warrior to give all the other 3 companions mana/stamina. then use bolster to gain stamina back.

You'd have endless mana to heal this way. You are totaly immortal against a single boss. this wyaHow do I beat the ancient rock wraith (dragon age 2)?
I know what I was doing wrong, is when he spawns all the little wraiths, beat those. I always tried to attack him, but I'm not sure if you ca even hurt him then. If you get caught in that thing where you are like paralyzed, and your healer is not, have them heal, or use healing potions

Good luck! How do I beat the ancient rock wraith (dragon age 2)?
Make sure that you and your team hide behind the pillars while the creature is charging up it's burst attack, and then make sure that you run out there and hit it a good number of times while it is recharging and laying in pieces.

Does anyone know what the new boss name is in dragon age 2?

I am so curious abput the new boss in the game the boss looks like a cool looking character what is his connection to the blights the 2 bosses I beat already was the arch demon which was a wicked dragon in awakening I beated the mother she was weird and that great of a boss but in the second game the boss looks so cool if anyone knows his name I would be grateful on that information thank you.Does anyone know what the new boss name is in dragon age 2?
You are thinking of the Arishok, he's the qunari from the trailer. He's a very tough fight if you take him on alone, more so than the arch demon. But, he's not the final boss. Besides him there is a high dragon and an end game battle that I won't spoil for you.Does anyone know what the new boss name is in dragon age 2?
I gotta say there isn't really a main boss.

Unless your talking about the Qu'nari?

Why can't I have Fenris or Isabela as companions in Dragon Age 2?

My character is a warrior, and I could'nt find Fenris or Isabela anywhere. These are the two companions i dont have. Is it because I used the infinite money and xp glitch? because this is my third character i made. I have them as my companions in my mage character and i didnt use glitches, is it because of this or just the class i picked? Why can't I have Fenris or Isabela as companions in Dragon Age 2?
Did you do the missions that you have to do in Act 1 (after the year of work to get into Kirkwall) that you had to do to get those two characters? If you don't do those two missions, then you can't get those two characters. The glitch you speak of doesn't effect the possibility of getting any character in the game. Why can't I have Fenris or Isabela as companions in Dragon Age 2?
Fenris is only available in act 1. You should have gotten a letter on the desk in Gamlen's house beginning a quest called "bait and switch". This is where you meet and recruit him.

Isabela is tricky. She actually does not show up until after you recruit Anders. Once you have him you can go to the Hanged Man and start her recruitment quest. Why can't I have Fenris or Isabela as companions in Dragon Age 2?
I played as a Female warrior and i managed to get Isabela abd Fenris as companions.
you will pick Isabela up in the Hanged Man and Fenris contacts you in a letter asking you too help him find something. But i think if talking to them and saying the wrong thing youll cause them to leave and not return.

I then have to ctrl alt delete it at which point it says that it has stopped working. Any fixes? Help is greatly appreciated. How to fix dragon age 2 demo?
I would like to add that I'm having the exact same issue. I'm running the game in Windows 7, 64 bit. Not sure what the OP's configuration is, but I'd advise the OP to edit his question and try to be as specific as possible in regards to his hardware and operational system configuration. And then hope a tech wiz comes to our rescue. ;-)

Dragon Age 2 glitch; Hawke won't draw weapons?

I've found an annoying glitch in Dragon Age 2 (PS3 version). After recruiting Fenris to my party, my character has started running around with her arms out to the sides, and she won't draw her weapons in battle. I think she's still in the position she was sitting in during the cutscene after she recruited him. She still jumps and kicks during battle, but she won't take out her weapons. It's really annoying. Does anyone know how to fix it?Dragon Age 2 glitch; Hawke won't draw weapons?
I've had this happen as well, and other than it fixing itself randomly, the only sure-fire way I have found it to fix is to save the game, quit all the way out of the game, and then load up your file again once the game is started.

In Dragon Age 2 how do you get Fenris to like you?

I just keep making him mad and making him basically hate me, and since he is my favorite character I don't want him to leave, and I wouldn't mind starting a romance With him.In Dragon Age 2 how do you get Fenris to like you?
You don't need him to like you. Earning rivalry points isn't a bad thing. As long as you completely max out the rivalry or friendship part of the bar before the end of the game he will stay loyal to you. You can also romance him as a rival. Don't feel like you need to kiss his butt, just be consistent in your choices.

If you really want to be his friend take a hard stance against mages, blood magic, and slavery. Once his friendship bar is maxed out it locks and you don't have to worry about gaining or losing any more points. In Dragon Age 2 how do you get Fenris to like you?
just say everything you can negative about mages and he'll love you. anders will hate you though so watch out for that if you care.

    Dragon Age 2 Questions?

?#1 I got dragon age 2 recently, and after making about 6 characters I made one I'm happy with, a female rouge. The one problem is she has this ugly armor on, and I really don't like it. So is there a place in Kirkwall where I can find some good rouge armor? I seen warrior ones and mages robes, buy no rouge ones.

?#2 I know Bethany leaves, or dies no matter what. ( I think) But I would rather just have her leave then die! So how can I save her when I get to the part when she does (deep roads I think)

?#3 What companions are the best? as of right now I always take Bethany, arrow guy, and warrior girl (forgot names, haha, I just got the game yesterday) but I also have Anders, Merril, and I will get more soon, I just want to know which ones will be the most useful.

    THANKS!:DDDragon Age 2 Questions?
1- I am happiest with female Rogue as well! Her armor.. You may not be able to change it for a while. Check and armor shops in Lowtown Bazaar and Hightown Market. Also, you should automatically come with armor I think that gives you better equipment, but I don't know if you come with it or if you find it.

2- Your right, she either leaves or dies. ****SPOILERS**** There are several ways to approach Bethany's fate. When going to the Deep Roads, you can listen to your begging mother not to take her with you. If you leave her, you will come back home and see that the Templars are hauling her back to the Circle/ Gallows. If you do this, she will be unavailable for most of the game. Also, you can take her with you, but if you do, she will get a disease and die (I've never done this but it's what I have read.) However, if you take her with you, but you also have Anders, he tells you she can survive by becoming a Grey Warden (again, never done myself.) I didn't take the chance of her dying because I really like her.

3- It was hard for me to choose in this one because I liked everyone. Since you are playing as a rogue, you will need a warrior, I had Fenris who you will get later, but sometimes I needed Aveline instead. I didn't bring Varric with me for most of this game. Bethany I had until she leaves. After Act I I used Hawke, Isabela, Fenris, and Anders. ****SPOILER**** Later, when Anders leaves you (Not sure if it was because it was my choices, or what) I replace him with Merril, because I had gotten really good and could handle the healing with just potions. He comes back as well.

I hope this will help you!

Or does that accessory need to be equipped on the main character to get the drop bonus?

Can my comp run Dragon age:Origins.?

    My computer has a

intel pentium 4 single core 2.8 ghz processor

    nvidia geforce 7300 GT

    3 Gigs of DDR1 ram

I downloaded the Character creation demo, and it worked flawlessly. the opening video and the creator itself had absolutely no lag whatsoever.

so my questions are as follows.

is a single core 2.8ghz processor close enough to the equivalent of a dual core 1.4 ghz, that i can play Dragon age?

is the character creator any decent level of a 'test' of how well the game will work? I dont mind if its graphics are low as long as the framerate is stable. Can my comp run Dragon age:Origins.?
    Completely the wrong category....

I think you should be fine though. A single core processor should in general run as fast, or faster than a dual core at half the clock speed, so unless the install insists on dual core, or a certain instruction set, you'll probably be OK.

Dragon Age 2 and Origins for Consoles question?

I played Dragon Age Origins. Honestly it wasn't really my thing. But watching gameplay for Dragon Age 2 it looks more like you actually control the character and attack, like a zelda or God of War game. The thing I didn't like about Origins was the combat. So in DA2 is the combat system like...more like other games? Or is it the same is Origins, where you just aim at the enemy and tell your character to attack and he will? For PS3 and Xbox of courseDragon Age 2 and Origins for Consoles question?
Yeah its about the same, but there are more special attacks and its alot more animated.Dragon Age 2 and Origins for Consoles question?
DA:O's combat is like plenty of other games. Like most every RPG ever, and nearly identical to every MMO ever.

But yes, DA2 turned the franchise into a generic hack and slash with a few RPG elements.

Dragon Age 2: Can you change race of character?

You're a human but I like being an elf. I know you can change like hair and what you look like but can you do a spell to make you into an elf? Another reason is because Fenris is an elf... he's kinda like a zevran... yummy lol jk :3

p.s. im not gay, im a girl :D!Dragon Age 2: Can you change race of character?
No, you can only play as a human in DA2. You can still pick your gender, class, and appearance though.Dragon Age 2: Can you change race of character?
    NO you may not,

this is because developer's wanted to focus on one person's rise to power

the "champion of kirkwall", and how you tell the tale is up to you

you can still choose class, gender and change how you lookDragon Age 2: Can you change race of character?
    no

Dragon age 2's main character is...?

the evil old god baby i had with morrigan? that seems likely doesn't it?Dragon age 2's main character is...?
No, since it has already been announced that the main character is Hawke, a relatively unknown person, whose journey begins just as Lothering is being destroyed in Dragon Age Origins. Plus there is a download coming out for Origins called Witch Hunt in which you can track Morrigan down.

Edit: His story actually begins during the destruction of Lothering, so players will likely have to work on surviving and escaping the Darkspawn hoards.

  • Dragon Age 2 + rpg question.?

Hey, there may be a lot of questions like this out there, but I am going to ask anyways as there is not really a "specific" answer.

To the first part of my question. I have played the first Dragon Age game. It had VERY good character customization. So, I was wondering. Does Dragon Age 2 also offer the same customization or not? Because, from what I have read, but was not clarified on is that you are "Hawke", but other than that it does not specify if you can or cannot customize your character in any way. Any info into how you can customize the character would be awesome. I do not like many rpgs where you cannot.

Now, onto the second part of my question. Does anyone know of any good rpgs or action/adventure rpgs where you can customize your character, besides Oblivion, fallout 3, and dragon age: origins or awakening. I have heard of lost Odyssey is a good rpg and also infinite undiscovery, BUT I do not know if you can make your character in them. Any info on that would be awesome. Any other rpg or action/adventure rpg out there that you CAN create your character from scratch would be awesome. Thanks in advance. By the way, this is for the 360. Not computer or ps3. Thanks.Dragon Age 2 + rpg question.?
    http://3godkings.com/2104/dragon-age-ii-鈥?/a>

Check out this review, as you can see the Hawke is black with a goatee. If that doesn't show you the span of the customization nothing will. 360/PS3/PC are ports of the same game, having seen all 3 you can get as crazy as you want with Hawke's facial features but are restricted by certain hairstyles.

I finished Dragon Age 2 and I have a few questions?

How do i get to lvl 20 when there are no more quests to do and were do i find the high dragon. Is there anything else to do i do i start over with a new character?

-Thanks in advance for your helpI finished Dragon Age 2 and I have a few questions?
Personally I loved Dragon Age II, but yet I have to agree it didn't live up to the bar set in Origins (And I fell that no game ever will)! :D

The High Dragon: In order to reach the High Dragon (In Act 3), you must receive the "Mine Massacre" quest, which you will get by talking to Hubert in Hightown during the day, or by simply going to The Bone Pit at any time during Act 3. In order to become eligible for the quest, you must have completed "The Bone Pit" quest in Act 1 and "Inside Job" in Act 2.

Reaching Level 20 - In Origins, reaching this level was no small feat. Fortunately, its not quite as difficult in the sequel. To reach this level, simply ALWAYS do ALL quests that are received in the mail. Also, do ALL companion quests during each act. This will require you to put a little bit of effort into making Good Friendships/Rivalries with your companions.

Hope I helped! :DI finished Dragon Age 2 and I have a few questions?
To get to level 20, just keep going to places like darktown, and the free marches. There will sometimes be random enemy encounters there. Also at night walk around lowtown and hightown for fights to level up. The high dragon is at the bone pit. There is a side mission at act 3 that will ask you to kill it. Since you've finished the game, you can start a new one as a different class (mage, rogue, warrior), you can have a romance with a different character, choose different dialogues, and make different decisions during certain quests to change the outcome... Trust me there is a lot that can be done. It is not as good as origins, but it's still a great game.I finished Dragon Age 2 and I have a few questions?
I, personally, found Dragon Age 2 to be a disappointment, especially when compared to origins.

The High Dragon is found in the Bone Pit during the quest Mine Massacre (Act 3).

How is the story different in Dragon Age 2 if you choose mage?

Seeing as they are supposed to be shunned in Kirkwall how does it effect my character in terms of regaining nobility and getting the "champion title" during the story? How is the story different in Dragon Age 2 if you choose mage?
only differnce is your brother lives and sister dies

as for choices later on that will decide what happens to you

weather at the end you are begged to be vice count or force to run for your life

Why can't the glitch in Dragon age 2 work now?

Its the glitch that causes characters to level up and get more money.... Is it possible that the game is already patched. Im using a PS3 btw..Why can't the glitch in Dragon age 2 work now?
That glitch was patched a while ago, but I didn't believe it was possible to patch games on the PS3 as of now with PSN being disabled still. Why can't the glitch in Dragon age 2 work now?
firstly have you drawn your weapon and approached the character, then waited till they sheath their weapon and pressed the action button ( A or X ) repeatedly?

Should I get Dragon Age 2 for the PS3?

I've played Dragon age 1: Origins + Awakening for the PS3 and I was wondering if I should get Dragon Age 2 now. Is it worth getting? Is it any better than the first one.

Also can I import my character over to the 2nd one?Should I get Dragon Age 2 for the PS3?
Dragon Age 2 is a single player role-playing game (RPG) for play on the Xbox 360. Epic sequel to the BioWare developed 2009 Game of the Year, Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age II continues the adventure with a new hero, Hawke, and utilizes the choices made by the player to affect a story that spans ten years worth of time in-game. Additional game features include: the ability to choose your character's class and sex, a new cinematic in-game experience, a nonlinear narrative and the ability to import saved information from earlier Dragon Age games.

    @@@Should I get Dragon Age 2 for the PS3?
I say yes, I found it to be fun but reviews have said it splits fan to either liking the new layout or hating it. I personally liked the way it worked and felt it better than the first, felt more in depth.

You can NOT import characters, but you can import the past storyline and that effects how the new one plays out.Should I get Dragon Age 2 for the PS3?
erm..i read that its betterr than Origins so yea i guess you shud get it..

you may want to read this review on it which i find covered most of the main points and elements..might help you (:

  • Just bought Dragon Age 2 on PC and wondering what your preferences are on character class and build?

AFAIK you play one character in DA2, and not different races and things. You play Hawke and that's it. Still, I prefer for warriors a Weapon and Shield setup, whilst for rogues I do a Dual Weapon setup.

In Dragon Age: Origins I had Warrior: Weapon and Shield as well as a Two Handed Weapon setup, but that was just too slow. With the Rogue I tried the Archery thing, but it was too boring for me. Switched back to Dual Weapon soon, and this combined with the Assassin and Bard speciality makes me almost invulnerable! :D

EDIT: Oh OK. Nah, I still prefer Warrior or Rogue. I like the hands-on approach, and mages just don't have that. No crit, no backstabs, no bloody mess. Well, maybe if I tried as Arcane Warrior... Hey, thanks for the idea!

Still, Warrior with Weapon and Shield build maxed out is imba, cannot be knocked down, does major damage and has a crapload of stuns available to use. Just get your stats right... :DJust bought Dragon Age 2 on PC and wondering what your preferences are on character class and build?
In DA2 mages have been dumbed down, so to speak :) coz in DA:O, mages had massive AoE spells and some very heavy nukes, but theyre somewhat weaker this time around. BUT theyre still fun to play and sport some very nice spells and animations!

As far as Warriors n rogues go... warriors are most fun to play in onehanded weapons as damage dealers. go for Reaver specialization for some fun moments wid the bosses!!

Rogues are by far the most fun as they can literally obliterate opponents in a single strike!!! coupled with a strong supporting team, you'll be a force to reckon with even in higher difficultiesJust bought Dragon Age 2 on PC and wondering what your preferences are on character class and build?
quick advise: when you get to a new town, and see a big guy in a cage? he is AWESOME and he is a good guy that you will certainly want on your team right away! I was an Elf, the vengeful ones that lived in the forests. Her name was Ecinah

I think you should at least put 3 points at once then you'll be able to confirm it.

At least when I have 3 points, I couldn't confirm it without putting all 3. When I had like 9 points I think I did confirm somehow. sry not helping. lol

  • Why is Fenris so irritated with me all the time (Dragon Age 2)?

The character Fenris in Dragon Age 2 is angry at everything I do, whether I oppose mages or not! In one of the conversations that I've had with him, I tried every option multiple times (by reloading) to get a positive outcome, and he was still angry with me, no matter if what I said was supportive or not. I want to romance option with him, but it just doesn't seem like it's going to happen. Please give me some help on this, in detail. I really want to know what's going on.Why is Fenris so irritated with me all the time (Dragon Age 2)?
You know you can have a rivalry romance with all 5 of the romance-able characters in DA2 right?

Anyways, if you are a mage, the conversation you have with him after you leave Danarius' mansion for Fenris' first quest will ALWAYS end in rivalry. If you want to have a friendly romance, then be mean to mages and slavers OR don't bring him along on most of the quests. And don't forget to give him the book in act 2 and the sword in act 3, and he doesn't like it when you're overly sympathetic with him.Why is Fenris so irritated with me all the time (Dragon Age 2)?
To romance him select the dialogue option with the heart icon every chance you get and don't romance anyone else. If you want to gain friendship you have to take a very hard stance against slavers, blood magic, and mage freedom. You can romance him as a rival too, so don't be too worried about getting on his good side.

Otherwise I think you are just interpreting his overall grumpy attitude as hostility. He doesn't really start to open up until act 2 or when you get his friendship/rivalry high enough.

Is there any way to keep Bethany Hawke in your party for the whole campaign in Dragon Age 2?

I am on my third playthrough of Dragon Age 2 now. I am playing as a Rogue where on my previous 2 I was a mage. I was wondering if there is any way to keep your sister, Bethany, in your party/ team for the whole game. I want to know because I think she is a very good character and if Bioware left this option out then shame on them.Is there any way to keep Bethany Hawke in your party for the whole campaign in Dragon Age 2?
The loss of Bethany/Carver is a scripted event. The only control you have over it is whether they die, or if they become a Circle mage/Templar or a Grey Warden. Is there any way to keep Bethany Hawke in your party for the whole campaign in Dragon Age 2?
No, she's gone by act 2 no matter what you do. But, if she doesn't die in the deep roads she will fight with you in the final battle. In some ways it makes sense to the story that you lose your sibling, but I agree that it would have been great to keep them the whole game.

In Dragon age 2 what the best character to choose a mage, a warrior or a rogue?

If it's your first playthrough, I'd go mage just to learn the basics and check out the various abilities you'll have availible in Varric's first creative version of the ogre battle. Then, once you've reached Kirkwall, you should try the other classes in turn. Getting all three types will net you a achievement, depending on the system you use, and let you see which play style will be better for you. Try picking your main character's class by figuring out at what range you want to play at. Unless your jumping into the middle of every crowd of enemies, choose rogue or mage. Also, you will have others in your party to fill the other roles your main character doesn't pick, so don't assume that picking a rogue at the beginning will leave you running from enemies the majority of time.In Dragon age 2 what the best character to choose a mage, a warrior or a rogue?
Rogue. If you choose mage you'll rape the game just like the first one and if you go for warrior you'll be bored to tears.....just like the first one.In Dragon age 2 what the best character to choose a mage, a warrior or a rogue?
that depends on you. they are all equally fun to play, im on round 2, started as a mag, now im doing a warrior.

    Is Dragon Age 2 Great?

I dragon age I liked the diverse characters, plot, different areas, enemies, lore, design, everything! I actually cared and got emotionaly attatched and when it was over It felt like such a shame that awesome adventure had to stop. How much has dragon age 2 changed, what is missing and what's new? I hear alot of people got disapointed. Is Dragon Age 2 Great?
The game feels much more resemblant of a hack and slash game than the traditional rpg style that the original game was. The world is much smaller than the first one due to most of the game taking place in one major city, Kirkwall. The story, while more directed this time around, ultimately falls flat in comparison to the first one. As far as the characters go, the writing and dialogue are there in full form, though I didn't feel much towards the characters is comparison to my party from the original game. I felt it was an overall disappointing sequel. Not a bad game, just a not great continuation of the series. Hope that helps. Happy gaming.

Dragon Age 2: How do I stick to one character to play through?

For some reason, I can't stick to just one character and I keep creating new ones. The farthest I have gotten is to about halfway into ACT 2 and then I make a new character. Once that character gets through most of ACT 1, I make a new one. What are things that I could do stick with one character? I would very much like to actually beat this game.

Also, I like all character classes so the problem isn't "because I don't like being a rogue."Dragon Age 2: How do I stick to one character to play through?
Buy the black emporium DLC. It gives you access to a mirror that lets you change your appearance whenever you want and potions that let you reset your points/abilities or the points/abilities of your companions. If you ever decide you don't like your character you can just go make the changes you want without losing any game progress.Dragon Age 2: How do I stick to one character to play through?
I find a 2 handed warrior and a mage to be fun. The problem I found with DA2 is that it is veryyyyyy boring in the beginning I think you should just stick with it longer and it will start to pick up and get funner.

Another reason being that you will find a lot of cooler weapons, armor and items the farther you get.Dragon Age 2: How do I stick to one character to play through?
Well I would turn up the difficulty so it's a little harder so u tend to keep playing and not get bored because your runnin them over with mad skills and I found that the Mage is much more fun to play as because if kind is hated and u can blast foes away with man magic attacks u just go to get into it man I hope this helps

Which rogue character should i use in Dragon Age 2?

    My team is

Hawke-Mage (elemental magic, force, and healing)

Merrill-mage (rock/lighting magic, spirite, and her special tree)

    Fenris-close up attacker-two handed weapon

Now my question is tht my rogue is gonna be a archer so that leaves Vaaric or Sebestian. WHich is the better choice?

Please give me an explanation for ur choice thanks.Which rogue character should i use in Dragon Age 2?
Both are powerful, but Varric has the edge. His abilities are just slightly more useful than Sebastian. Varric also has more to add to the story. But, you can give Sebastian any bow in the game. If you are the kind of player who pays attention to enemies weaknesses Sebastian may be a better choice. you can swap out his weapon as needed unlike Varric who only uses Bianca.

Can i start dragon age 2 over using a finished character?

sadly no you can but i suggest you keep the charac seved be cause theres gonna be a dragon age 3 as you know so id just wait to just it then. Plus im better with the new dlc coming out that you will be able to use your character some more. But all in all just start a new character if you want to play again try a new glass or sex even trust me its better this way.Can i start dragon age 2 over using a finished character?
    I don't think you can .

Dragon age 2 friendship problem btw 2 characters?

    Hello everybody!

Since I have Fenris in my DA2 group, I cannot get Merrill and Fenris happy together: my friendship with Merrill was at maximum and now it's at 戮 / Fenris's friendship is at 录...

I know that both of those character aren't easy to satisfy together, and it is why I ask some help here ;)

BTW: is my group well balanced?

    -Aveline: Tank

    -Merrill: damages/mage

    -Fenris: 2H/CQC helper

-Me as a Rogue/ specialized in archery

NOTE: I have no good healer so I play at normal mode-%26gt; I hate Anders...

Thank you very much!Dragon age 2 friendship problem btw 2 characters?
You won't satisfy them both, they have opposite opinions about things. Merril is very pro-mage and pro-blood magic, Fenris hates magic and mages. Your best bet is to decide if you personally support mages or the templars and try to make consistent decisions. One or the other will start gaining rivalry points instead of friendship, but this isn't a bad thing. You can still secure the loyalty of a rival and get bonuses. You should try to have all companions maxed out one way or the other by the end of the game.

Your party is fine, it's very damage focused which is a good way to play if you don't have a healer.

What character should I start on dragon age 2?

Not like it really matters, but should I pick a warrior, rouge or a mage?

Lol so, what do you people think? What character should I start on dragon age 2?
Rogue. I've played rogue ever since the second time I played DA, went straight for rogue in the DA2 demo and will continue to rogue when I get the game this month. Lock picking is a life skill to always have on hand. Plus they are fast, are great with two blades in close combat (and lets face it that's cool in itself) but are just as adept with bows should the battle become long-range, so they are a good all-rounder.

Mages are just soft and squishy, normally turning into a nasty red stain on the floor the minute they get breathed on in close-combat. I personally like to be in the thick of battle, not on the side-lines hiding behind the boulder whilst taking cheap-shots and hoping not to be discovered.

Warriors are powerful but their speed is sacrificed for brute strength which normally means they suck at evasion. That means you need to focus on their HP and defense more since they will be taking hits... that means they normally have less accuracy and miss a whole lot more than the other classes. I want my main character to be the hero striking the killing blows; not merely the tank.

Also, their lack of accuracy means they are not normally that hot if you stick a long-range weapon in their hands. What character should I start on dragon age 2?
Warrior is used to deal a good amount of damage while soaking up some damage as well. While Mages and rogues get into position to fight take down your foes take the heat off them with your warrior and deal some damage in the meantime.

Rogue ability's help defeat your enemy quick and effectively, they can open up weak spots for other companions to take advantage of. While a warrior is soaking damage from an enemy get and back of your enemy with a steal rogue to increase damage and use special ability's to open up weak spots for the rest of your party.

Mages can deal a load of damage, Use spells beneficial to companions like healing, and have an array of area spells. While your warriors are soaking the damage and your rogues are getting back stab damage and opening up your enemy's weak points, use the mage to unleash powerful spells and heal your allies.

I would start the game with a warrior because they don't go down as easy an can deal a good amount of damage in return. What character should I start on dragon age 2?
In RPGs I tend to go for a mix of magic and warrior classes. In DAO, I went rogue. It was hands down the most fun to play. So, I went rogue again in DA2.

There is a lot of overlapping classes in DA2, but in truth, there is going to be a different way to play the different characters based on how you level them up. In the end, I know I will do a dual wield rogue, and have played Duelist since first getting the skill from Isabella in DAO.

I will probably go mage in my second replay and warrior in my third.

There isn't any NG+ option like Mass Effect. If you are on the PC though, it's possible you can find a mod for this. Otherwise, you could just play on normal for the regular battles to gain levels, and then put it up to nightmare for the boss fights.

  • What is the best character to choose in Dragon Age 2?

Is a Mage, Rogue or Warrior the best choice to be?

Also how should I add attributes and what should I make them Two handed, spirit mage, etc...What is the best character to choose in Dragon Age 2?
I've played all possible combos and finished the game as a bladed rogue. I found that fit me the best they do a ton of attacks and good damage with some bit spikes. My second favorite is mage with 2handed warrior close behind. I think the game gears you more toward 2-handed warrior over sword and shield warrior but that's just me. Also i think mages and rogues have the most upside and possible damage. 2-handed warriors do good damage but they tend to get hit alot as well. and there damage is split amounts several people which is cool that they can hit more than 1 person with each swing. Mages just blow stuff up which is great i don't like healing though so i had to keep 2 mages in the group all the time. The game doesn't give you a good lock picking rogue as the dwarf is more archer and the prince is archer as well and you have to add alot of points in cunning to get that up. So I found that making your own rogue with high dex and cunning really helps. Rogues get a cool grenade stun and a teleport attack that launchs you at teh person which helps move you around the battle field well. they can also stealth in combat and leave a dumby that the bad guys attack while you can sneak up and backstab the dude. thats how you have to fight the arashok guy. What is the best character to choose in Dragon Age 2?
Neither is 'best'. Pick the one class you most want to play, and play it. Thanks to the companions you have, you can have a well balanced party no matter what role you choose to fill.

As for stat allocations, you can apply the "2 here, 1 here" approach relatively well. For example, my class in DA2 was a 2 handed warrior. Because my primary focus was dealing as much damage as possible, 2 handed warriors don't have too many damage dealing active abilities and have skills to regain stamina in chunks. So, I wanted each attack to hit as hard as possible. I focused on putting 2 in strength, 1 in willpower for the most part.

However, bear in mind that each class and spec requires you to at least split points up between 3 stats because of gear. If you pick up something you want to use, take a look at it's stat requirements and compensate for them next time you level. To use my 2 handed warrior example again, I needed to up my Constitution to equip better armors.

If anything you can always search online for class builds.

As for which class you choose, just choose the one you want to play.

well if you have not finished the game I am guessing it wont carry over. thats what happened when I tryed in Mass Effect.

I want to make him stronger, I just started and just went to deliver the dragon's amulet.

I want to make my character stronger, where can I get a strong sword and cool looking strong armor? and what "tree" should I upgrade? help me out, give me some tips.

He is pretty weak right now.How to improve my character (warrior) stronger in Dragon age 2? I need help? ps3?
Gear you're basically going to come by when you come by it, the games rather linear in that respect so you'll just have to be patient and grab it when it arrives.

The skill trees I'd invest in are two-handed as your primary, with your specialty tree being Berserker, with extras in either Vanguard, Battlemaster, or both. Two-handed berserker will give you plenty of damage/speed, and you can either use Vanguard to push your damage to crazy heights, or battlemaster to give yourself much more stamina to work with.

The max number of points you can invest into skill trees playing through the entire game is miserably low though I'm afraid, my least favorite aspect of the game and one that drove me to cheat using the 'turn in random quest item over and over again' exploit. I don't like cheating in games, but this game is so long with so little access to different abilities without cheating that I felt compelled. This doesn't make the game -too- overly easy, as when you level yourself up this way the enemies level up with you.

Can you import character from dragon age 2 and use him on dragon age origins ultimate edition?

    No.

Just like how in Origins: UE, you can't import an Awakening character into Origins.

4 characters to keep in your party?dragon age 2?

im playing dragon age and i need to know...who are best 4 characters?4 characters to keep in your party?dragon age 2?
    I have two party configurations;

Act 1: Myself (mage), Bethany/Anders/Aveline. Three mages and a tank = pure joy.

Myself (rogue), Bethany/Anders/Aveline still works well.

Act 2/3: Myself (mage), Anders/Aveline/Fenris. Double mage, double melee OR

Myself (mage), Varric/Anders/Aveline. Double mage, + tank + trap removal/archer

Myself (rogue), Fenris, Anders, Aveline. OR Myself (any), Fenris, Anders, Sebastian/Varric, for no other reason than that they are eye-candy and it amuses me. But this combination makes for some rather frictional party banter second only to having Fenris/Anders/Merrill as the party.4 characters to keep in your party?dragon age 2?
It depends on what class you are and how you play. They are all useful if built and played correctly. But a standard party for me is Aveline, Fenris, and Anders/Varric. Aveline is the best tank, Fenris does amazing damage once his special skill tree is maxed, and Anders is the only healer. Varric I sometimes take because his archery skills are powerful and he's just fun to have along. Sebastian is also a great archer, but since he is DLC he rarely has much to say.

Merril and Isabela can be useful too. But, they don't fit as naturally in to a party as the other four.

  • Can I import my character from Dragon Age 2 into a second playthrough?

All I keep hearing about is whether or not you can import your character from Dragon Age: Origins into the gameplay of Dragon Age 2. We all know by now that this is not possible. But what I want to know is whether or not you can import your character from a previous playthrough to start a new one, thus bypassing the arduous process of character specs.

Such as it is for Mass Effect 2, you can use the same Shepard character through several playthroughs and that can get you some good bonuses. But I see no such way to "Carry over" in the same way in Dragon Age 2. Please help! This is frustrating. Can I import my character from Dragon Age 2 into a second playthrough?
No, DA2 doesn't have that option. If you play on the PC it's possible you can find a mod that might let you do this. Otherwise you will just have to start over.

Will your character import on dragon age 2?

I heard your choices throughout your playthrough on dragon age origins awakening and all the dlc will carry over but can you continue playing as the same character if you want to?Will your character import on dragon age 2?
No your warden character does not import to Dragon Age 2 but many of the decisions you made in the first one will reflect in the 2nd one. The main character in Dragon Age 2 is Hawke who fled Lothering just before it was destroyed by the darkspawn. Sucks that you can't play your warden but I'm hoping that in a later game maybe the 3rd one the two characters, your warden and this new Hawke character, will be connected/brought together somehow but the 2nd one still looks like it will be cool! Will your character import on dragon age 2?
No, in Dragon Age 2, you play as Hawke, a human who's story begins during the Darkspawn attack of Lothering. Hawke can be either male or female, and with a choice of the three classes (warrior, rogue, or mage).

    Dragon age 2 import character?

We know you will be able to import your character and continue playing from what decisions you made, however, my question is does Awakening play any role in that, meaning if I play awakening will that have any effect in dragon age 2 or no?Dragon age 2 import character?
Your decisions in Awakening are supposed to have an effect on DA2, although not nearly as large as the effect from DA:O only because more people bought the actual game than the expansion pack.

And by the way, you won't be able to import your character. It's just the decisions you made.

DA2 involves a completely new character named Hawke. Your old character isn't even on the same continent for most of the game for that matter.Dragon age 2 import character?

I'm trying to decide what type of character I want. I prefer high damage dealers that won't be ridiculously easyily overrun by enemies. Dps but with slight solo abilities. I'm leaning towards rogue or mage, but I don't have any concrete thoughts yet. I'm familer with this style of game as well as party management style (tank healer dps the likes). I would like some view on pros and cons on types by people, from their experience. I read the guide and the introductory book inside, but I want more from experience views, instead of broad vague statements...I will eventually try but what should I start with? Thanks in advanceDragon Age 2 character creation?
The rouge class is good for both solo and group types of fighting it also helps if u r getting smashed by a boss or something because if u need u go invisible and move away and u can heal your self but if u like being extremely OP then pick mage.Dragon Age 2 character creation?

Follow this guide for a shadow archer. I have played every other class, but this build is hands down my favorite. It's very versatile and makes the most efficient use of the bow. The guide is very thorough and will even tell you what gear to buy. I have managed to solo a few of the harder fights with it such as that demon you release from the tomes.Dragon Age 2 character creation?
The class I had no trouble with was a rogue archer. I invested points into the assassin, archery, specialist trees and other abilities that increased damage for critical hits. While I played this class I hardly ever got overrun by enemies.

How should i add attributes and so on to my warrior in DA2 to ensure i stand a chance against the final boss. Mage and Rogue to if you know or have any ideas.

-Thanks in advance for your helpDragon age 2 character leveling up?
On nightmare level, with gears equipped, I would say for a tank, somewhere between 300-400 hp is enough

For mage, I would go for at least 250 hp

For rogue, I would go for 300 hp to be safe

Back stab from npc rogues hurts alot, they can crit 150+ easily

You would want some buffer hp to prevent you from going down after being backstabbed

Actually the role of the tank in the final fight is pretty useless, as the boss just runs around hitting people, so his/her hp isn't that important. However, if you plan on fighting high dragon, then your tank better be prepared.
Thanks man. IS there certain things i should just lvl on each character? For instance warrior would be strength and cunning? Mage? Rogue?

Depends on what build you are using for each class. Warrior tank focus on constitution and just enough strength to wield the best weapon, for example.

Dragon Age 2 Character Customization xbox?

I want to know if there are any sites that have broken down the settings you need to look like certain characters. I DON'T WANT A MOD, I'm on the xbox 360 so that wouldn't work well for me anyway. In the character customization screen you have sliders under different facial attributes to make your character look a certain way. I'm wondering if someone has taken the time to put together the different percentages needed to look, for example, like the preset Hawke (which you cannot change if you choose that base T.T ) or other NPCs in the game. Like... 5 clicks to the left on one attribute and 9 to the right on another... ect.Dragon Age 2 Character Customization xbox?
First off, the only way to even get something like that would be a mod. There ARE mods for this. Second, Xbox 360s do take mods. Bioware has no rules against players modding their games, which they have stated multiple times. To mod a game, you just need a USB stick, or "thumb drive".

Can you romance more than one character in dragon age 2 at the same time?

I was thinking of romancing Fenris and Anders at the same time in Dragon Age, but is that even possible? Or can you ONLY romance one character? Can you romance more than one character in dragon age 2 at the same time?
I did do this, having flirted with both of them in Act 1, with Fenris as a Rival and Anders a Friend.

There seems to be a natural break with Fenris, at more than one place. Concentrate on him first in Act 2. At some point after a personal quest, Fenris will abruptly leave the party and confront Hawk at her house, which can end in sex, but after Fenris will immediately back away from the relationship ('This should never have happened!").

If you choose at this point, you can continue to pursue Fenris. However at this point you can also choose to flirt with Anders who gives in and but you have the option to tell Anders truthfully that Fenris broke it off before having sex with him as well.

What I didn't try was rejecting Anders at this point and returning to Fenris. Don't know that it would work. Either way, Fenris starts to wear a red wrist band as well as Hawke's family crest on his belt. This might be a bug, or be an intentional way of showing Fenris still carries a huge torch for Hawke.

Party banter after the breakup implies that he still does, and he reacts poorly when Anders gloats over how things turned out.

EDIT: Not entirely sure about the first one. I got that party banter, or one very similar, after Fenris bolted after spending the night *and* after Anders spent the night, indicating that not only did Fenris break it off, but Anders was poking at him. I believe the line I heard was "I don't know what Hawke ever saw in you (past tense)". Fenris responds that Anders should drop it; leaving was the hardest thing he ever did, then I think Anders has a parting shot.

I do know that you can still pursue Fenris unless you sleep with someone else after he bolts.

With Isabela, I've never heard it, but I read somewhere that if the Champion is not involved with either Isabela *or* Fenris, party banter between them implies that they are involved with each other. Can you romance more than one character in dragon age 2 at the same time?
You can juggle them both for a while, but eventually you need to choose. The easiest thing to do is flirt with them both, sleep with Fenris in act 2, then move on to Anders. There's some jealous banter between Fenris and Anders if you do this. Can you romance more than one character in dragon age 2 at the same time?
Sleeping with either Anders or Merrill will supercede and automatically end Fenris' romance

The vendors have different armor for your characters, but it's not like the first game... Only certain vendors have armor upgrades, and there are only a certain number available for each character, like I think 1 upgrade for Bethany, 2 for everyone else.

The best armor is found as loot, not in shops. Don't waste your money on it, especially in act 1. Just keep doing quests and looting all the enemies and chests. There are usually 1 or 2 good sets per act.

Many of the choices made in Origins will reflect in Dragon Age 2. Obviously you can only play as Male or Female Hawke, and the story takes place during the "Darkspawn attack in Lothering"

If Alistar was made king in Origin's he will make an appearence at the end of Dragon age 2.

    Hy Dominic.

You cannot delete characters from within the game but you can go into the System Settings on your dashboard, then Memory, Games, Dragon Age and manually delete each file saved on the hard drive or memory card. It will read the characters name and where the save is located in game (camp or where ever) so you won't delete important items.

As for the character cap I am unsure, I am at six so far (one for each origin) and haven't seen a limitation.

    The mother always dies.

There are three possible endings in the sibling story.

    2. The sibling has the darkspawn taint but if Anders is there the sibling joins the Grey Wardens and leaves the party.

Changing Marian Hawke's name from Dragon Age 2?

    Hi guys!

I'm here because I'm a complete idiot and while creating my female character for Dragon Age 2, I completely forgot to change her first name, so I'm stuck with Marian (which I don't like at all). I played for about 2 hours and really love the way I customized my character, so I would hate to start all over again.

My question was if any of you knew a way to change her first name.

I've already tried going to Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age 2/Characters/ and changed the name of every single file that said Marian for the name I wanted.

I also went inside the XML files and changed the part where it said Name="Marian" (and every other part inside the file where it said Marian) to Eli.

I gotta say I'm a complete noob and have no real idea of what I'm doing so, a little bit of detailed intruction would be greatly appreciated.

I will give a fav answer to the person who helps me solve this first.

Before I seriously consider buying it, I would like to know if there is a character mostly like Alistair. Or if the game does well with making a deep connection with the characters like it does in Dragon Age Origins.Dragon Age 2 characters?
No, there is nobody quite like Alistair. Varric is the only one who comes close because of his sense of humor, but he's much more mature and not a love interest. Alistair does make a cameo in DA2 depending on your decisions in Origins though.

The companions in DA2 are all great and in some ways more interesting than the ones in origins. But, you don't get as much interaction with them and the large time skips in the game make it feel shallow sometimes.Dragon Age 2 characters?
The character mostly like Alistair would probably be Merril due to they're both so innocent. However Merril isn't as cool as Alistair. The game is almost like an expansion to Dragon Age Origins. It's not as good in my opinion as it's more like a run and fight type game with much less choice for you to make. I would advise getting it though because dragon age 3 will require you to have played 2 to fully understand it.

Will I be able to transfer My Dragon Age Awakening Character to Dragon Age 2?

I have completed Dragon Age: Origins and i have imported that character to Dragon Age Awakening. I was Wondering if i would be able to transfer my Dragon Age Awakening Character over to Dragon Age 2 or if Dragon Age 2 does not allow you to import your previous character? And if you can transfer, would it only accept a Dragon Age Awakening Character or only an Original Dragon Age Origins Character? Will I be able to transfer My Dragon Age Awakening Character to Dragon Age 2?
For Dragon Age 2 you will be playing a new character named Hawke. You can't import your warden, but you can import the decisions you made in both origins and awakening. Things like who is ruling Fereldan, what happened to the dwarves, the architect, ect... will all be mentioned in DA2.

So yes you can import your Awakening save in to DA2.

How to make a good party in dragon age 2?

I want to make my Dragon age 2 characters skills compliment eachother so that i will have a great team. Please explain how i should go about doing thing. thank you all.How to make a good party in dragon age 2?
Well first think about cross-class combos. This is where a character of one class affects the status of an enemy, which can then be exploited by another party member of a different class. So, having all mages in a party won't work as well. For example, if a mage uses a spell such as Cone of Cold, this can cause an enemy to become 'brittle'. A warrior can exploit this weakness by performing a move that can instantly 'shatter' the enemy (this only works on lower-level enemies, since most higher-level enemies are immune to most effects), with a move like Pommel Strike or Shield Bash (I think these two moves work, but you may want to check just in case). So, it's always an idea to have a warrior, rogue and mage in the party at all times, plus one extra of whicever class you choose. You can find online (or in the game guide) a list of which moves cause which statuses, and from there which moves exploit said status changes.

Actually choosing party members is important. It all depends on what sort of Hawke you're playing. If you're a tank, then you don't want someone like Aveline in your party because then you have two tanks, which you don't really need. Same as if you're an archer, you won't want Varric or Sebastian (if he's recruitable to you) on your team. However, you can have two mages, depending on what their skills are. When I was playing a mage Hawke, I made his role the party nuke, while I still had Anders in the party since he served as a healer. Saying that, I'd suggest you keep Anders in the party since he is the only healer, as other mages can only learn very few spells beneficial to the other party members.

It might sound odd, but if you have a healer and your Hawke has decent armour and Constitution, a tank isn't always necessary. Similarly, if your characters are all sturdy enough to survive difficult fights without the need to use poultices, then having a healer might be a waste of space. Though personally, I split Anders' talents 50/50 between his personal talent tree for healing, and AoE spells. That way, you have both a healer and a mage who can deal heavy damage to enemies in a wide area. This is why I usually have him in my party no matter what class my Hawke is.

Giving your party members the ability to 'save' other party members can be extremely helpful. For example, if your mage is being overrun by enemies, having a rogue toss a Miasma Flask their way to stun enemies can give them time to move out of harm's way. Rogues can also learn Back to Back, a move which lets them teleport immediately next to a chosen party member. If they're a dual-weapons rogue, you can use this to stand by the side of a suffering ally, or if you're an archer you can move next to an ally out of range of harm, and then inflict ranged dps. Handy in a tight spot. Also, if an enemy 'grabs' one of your allies, a mage can freeze the enemy with Cone of Cold, and warriors (I think) can free the grabbed ally with Shield Bash (this worked in Origins, I think it still worked). So, picking the right party for the right mission is essential. If you're going up against big bosses, have a tank and healer. Lots of little, weaker enemies, you want AoE effects and nukes to just take them out quick and easy.

Ps: my favourite party trio is Fenris (as a tank), Anders (healer and nuke) and Varric (ranged dps, and opens locked doors and chests). How to make a good party in dragon age 2?
You can use any party combo as long as you are creative in your strategies and builds. A good party for any class Hawke is Aveline, Varric, and Anders. This is the classic tank, DPS, and healer combo.

Can I convert a Dragon Age character to Mass Effect 2?

I find the Dragon Age character creator from Dragon Age easier to use.Can I convert a Dragon Age character to Mass Effect 2?
If you're good with the customization tools you'll probably be able to translate your custom character into Mass Effect 2. Both of the games have a large amount of tools for character customization, but obviously the tools are not the same. It might be tough, you'll just have to try it out.

P.S. Just in case you're asking if you can literally convert your character straight into another game...obviously no.Can I convert a Dragon Age character to Mass Effect 2?
No. They run on completely different engines. Can I convert a Dragon Age character to Mass Effect 2?

Well, your not going to be able to crossover your characters from DA:O to DA2 if you have both games. So, I highly doubt you'll be able to do it over game systems themselves.

Everybody has to start off fresh in the game.
no i dont think so becuase the save file is being read from the system harddrive and why not just buy it for the xbox????:)
